A female student of the Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola campus, has been reportedly brutalised by a jealous boyfriend in school.
Reports gathered that the incident which happened on the 9th of Nov. started when the said boyfriend, a student of the department of leisure and tourism, out of jealousy, used a knife to inflict injuries on the female student.
According to a social media user, Ribadu who shared the story, he noted that ”the boyfriend simply identified as presido is an extra year student of the polytechnic.
He said, On the faithful day presido saw his girlfriend alighting from somebody’s car, where he suspected that the car owner snatched his girlfriend. On seeing the girlfriend coming out of someone’s car, he ambushed her very close to the female hostel of the polytechnic popularly known as gollans, after beating her, he used a knife on her throat in an attempt to butcher her.
The female student was immediately rushed to the specialist hospital Yola by some of the students who came to her rescue.
It was also learnt that the male student after cutting her, quickly ran to the school gate threatening to stab the security man, but was later apprehended by security operatives.
