Just IN! Veteran Actor Olumide Bakare Dies

Nigerian Tribune reports that veteran Nollywood actor Olumide Bakare has died.

It said that his death, which took place in the early hours of Saturday, was confirmed by his personal assistant, who was with him. Bakare has been sick for over a year and reports say, aside suffering low blood flow into the heart, there were also indications of a lung-related disease.

The death was also confirmed by actor Saidi Balogun.

“Yes, it is true Olumide Bakare is dead. He died on his way to his hospital. When I called his number, his personal assistant picked his phone and told me he was dead. That’s how much I can say for now,” Balogun told Tribune on the telephone.

The Executive Governor of Plateau Sate, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong has congratulated Mr Michael Ejegba popularly known as ‘Efe’ on his emergence as the Winner of the Big Brother Naija (BBN) TV Reality Show. According to the Governor, the victory of Efe is a further prove of the brotherhood, excellence, courage and determination that characterises the Plateau Spirit. It will be recalled that the Executive Governor had on Friday the 7th April, 2017 called on all Plateau Citizens to stand in solidarity with Efe by voting and mobilizing others to vote for the home grown Actor, who was at the verge of joining the team of successful Plateau Citizens who have won the TV Reality event in the past. The Executive Governor is also using the opportunity of the Victory of Efe to call on all citizens of Plateau State, to ensure that the value they place on the common humanity of her citizens in a multi cultural and cosmopolitan setting, is always seen in the unity of purpose exhibited by all in the collective pursuit of a common goal. The Governor added that though Efe is by ethnic extraction from Delta State, Plateau is proud to lay claim to his entire life’s orientation having been groomed for excellence in life with the values that distinguish the Plateau person. The Executive Governor in his commendation assured the people of Plateau and Delta States, that the success of Efe will provide the additional platform for the consolidation of the relationship between the people of the two States, which had existed right from the early Tin Mining days of the twentieth century. Toyin Aimakhu’s ex-boyfriend arrested for stealing at Computer Village

Seun Egbegbe, a former boyfriend of Toyin Aimakhu, Nollywood actress, has been arrested for stealing phones at Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos.

According to an eyewitness, Egbegbe stole the phones from Keelcech Innovations, a store in Computer Village, around 9:30am on Tuesday.

Egbegbe, who reportedly stole two iPhone 7 and some iPhone 6+, attempted to make away with the gadgets before he was apprehended by the sales attendant and other workers in the store.

He was about to board a cab when the attendant and others rushed outside to stop him in his tracks, the eyewitness told TheCable Lifestyle.

After being caught, it was discovered that Egbegbe had already handed the iPhone 7 to his accomplice who successfully escaped.

Egbegbe was beaten to a pulp by the traders before he was handed over to the police.

He is now being questioned at Area F police station in Ikeja.
